Mora, a fight to live

Mora is the latest special case who has arrived to Galgos 112.

This little greyhound girl who is just 1,5 years old was rescued a month agoby the association Arca Sevilla. She was in really bad condition. She had broken tibia and fibula in one of her back leg, two brolen vertebrae in her spine and leishmaniosis, morevoer she was malnourished and dehydrated.

During this time Arca's volunteers have been workimg on Mora, but her health has not improved so much. We knew about Mora's case because of an Arca's volunteer, María, who is fostering her and we offered our help and Arca accepted so we took care of Mora who still has to go through two surgeries and recoveries. and leishmaniosis is now being treated.

Last week, thanks to the CT diagnostic service Andalucía DIFORVET, we've made a spine CT and we've been able to evaluate her vertebrae condition before the surgery. Tjis week she will have spine surgery and in a few time she will have surgery in her leg.

At this moment Mora's condition is conmplicated but she is a great fighter. Her foster mum is taking good care of her and has given her a golden basket, and Mora moves her tail to her and follows her everywhere when she is at home. Because of her spine and leg injury is not easy for her to stand up, but Mora wakes up and walks. But she does it, she really wants to live and we feel hopefull about her recovery. We know it won't be a fast recovery and we and Mora will need lots of patience, but when we see to her face, despite her breathing issues and her dry eyes (because of leishmaniosis), we see light on her, so we just want to help her to keep on living.

This is Mora and we hope you will help us to fight for her recovery.

We want to send a special thank you to María, Arca's volunteer, for foster her and to the Lepanto vet clinic, for its work.

We invite you all to join us and walk together. There are also too many Moras in need of help and we can't them all alone.
